An essential part of Breathe Providence’s work is engagement with Providence residents. The interface between the research team and community members is crucial for formulating relevant research questions, interpreting findings, and connecting residents to air quality information and mitigation strategies. Whether our outreach takes the form of collaborative data analysis or duct taping Corsi–Rosenthal boxes, Breathe Providence’s strength comes from public engagement and conversation.
